Location: Rice University
Wins: 6
In response to the rainout at Centex the previous weekend, Rice Cloud 9 hosted its first ever Cancellation Station. Ironically, a downpour on Saturday shortened first day play to two games, but Cloud 9 managed to uphold its undefeated record through the rest of the games on Sunday, racking up six wins along the way.

Conditions were bleak on Saturday and Sunday morning, but Cloud 9 battled through freezing winds and bouts of rain to pick up five wins. Sunday play was stopped short with a rainout after the first game, but the team looks forward to its next competition.
Location: University of Texas at Arlington
Wins: 7 Losses: 0
Early rains caused a change of location from UTA to a nearby park, but pool and bracket play continued as normal for the remainder of the weekend. Cloud 9 faced competition from current college teams as well as alumni teams but returned to Houston with another seven wins to their undefeated record.

Rice notched its first tournament win of the preseason with a big performance on both the offensive and defensive lines. Gusty winds and tough marks challenged rookies to dig deep and hunker down, and they rose to the occasion, led by the veterans to seven wins for the weekend.
